Syrniki are a morning delight from Slavic cuisine. Tender and golden-brown, they have a soft, slightly elastic texture filled with the milky taste of cottage cheese and a hint of sweetness. Historically, syrniki were a way to use cottage cheese more deliciously and nutritiously. They can be served with honey, jam, sour cream, or fresh berries for a perfect breakfast. Easy to make, they require just a few ingredients and minimal time. Mixing cottage cheese, egg, flour, and sugar forms small circles that are then fried to a golden crust. Warm syrniki melt in your mouth.
