Semolina porridge with cinnamon is a classic dish of Russian cuisine that warms the soul and brings back childhood memories. Its history dates back to ancient times when semolina was considered not only nutritious but also a refined grain. The delicate, airy texture of the porridge infused with a milky aroma combines with the light sweetness of sugar and subtle spicy notes of cinnamon. This dish is perfect for a cozy breakfast or evening treat, especially in cold weather. Semolina porridge is often served with a piece of butter that melts on its surface, giving it a special tenderness. The simplicity of preparation makes it accessible even for novice cooks, while the ability to add various toppings—from berries to nuts—turns it into a versatile and multifaceted dessert.

1
Pour a little water into a small saucepan and spread it evenly across the bottom. This little secret will help prevent the milk from heating during cooking.
- Water: 1 tablespoon
2
Pour the milk and heat it well, but do not bring it to a boil.
- Milk: 2 glasss
3
While the milk is on the stove, we prepare the semolina, and as soon as the milk boils, slowly add the semolina to the milk with one hand while stirring continuously with the other.
- Semolina: 4 tablespoons
4
Stir for another five minutes, then remove from heat and cover with a lid. Let it sit like this for a couple more minutes.
