Cut a slice from the pumpkin, remove the seeds and skin. Cut the pumpkin into small pieces.
- Pumpkin: 300 g

Place pumpkin pieces in a pot, add water. Cook on low heat until done (about 15 minutes). Then drain the water.

Cook rice in parallel. Add hot milk, pumpkin, salt, and sugar to the rice. Bring the pumpkin rice porridge to a boil, then let it simmer on low heat. After about five minutes, taste for salt and sugar. Add any missing ingredients if necessary. Simmer the porridge until desired consistency is reached. This may take 10 to 30 minutes.
