Mushroom casserole is a heartfelt dish of Russian cuisine, filled with the aroma of the forest and the coziness of home. Its history roots in village traditions where mushrooms gathered in the woods became the basis for many simple yet incredibly tasty dishes. The casserole combines the tenderness of eggs with a rich mushroom flavor, while herbs add freshness. A light golden crust makes the dish especially appetizing.
