Potato pancakes with cheese and garlic are a fragrant and hearty dish of Belarusian cuisine that has won love in many countries. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they perfectly combine the classic taste of potatoes with the spiciness of garlic and the creamy richness of cheese. Historically, potato pancakes emerged as an affordable and simple dish of peasant cuisine, becoming a symbol of home comfort and hospitality. In this version, with the addition of cheese, they gain even more flavor depth, making them a wonderful complement to sour cream or fresh vegetables. They can be served as a standalone dish or a side dish, and the versatility of the recipe allows for experimentation with ingredients to create new variations. These golden potato cakes are an ideal choice for a cozy home dinner.
