Breakfast for the Lazy

3 servings

15 minutes

Lazy vareniki are the same as dumplings, only sweet and solo. They are prepared no longer than any porridge and, unlike any porridge, do not make you feel sad in the morning with their appearance. They can be served with your favorite jam, homemade marmalade, country sour cream or any syrup. Or you can just pour melted butter on them - it will still be delicious.

Cooking steps
  • 1

In a large bowl, add cottage cheese, egg, sugar, and flour, and mix with a fork until smooth. If the mixture is too sticky, add more flour, but no more than half a tablespoon.

    Required ingredients:
    1. Soft cottage cheese200 g
    2. Chicken egg1 piece
    3. Sugar to taste
    4. Wheat flour30 g
    5. Wheat flour30 g
  • 2

Sprinkle the table with a small amount of flour and place the cottage cheese mass. Divide into two equal parts and roll each into sausages of the same thickness.

    Required ingredients:
    1. Wheat flour30 g
  • 3

Cut the sausages into small, equal pieces with a sharp knife. If desired, you can slightly flatten each piece and give it a round shape.

  • 4

Bring water to a boil in a small pot. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water one by one. Cook, gently stirring with a slotted spoon, until all dumplings float to the surface, plus one more minute.

  • 5

Place the ready dumplings from the pot onto plates and drizzle with jam, such as apricot. They can be served hot or warm.
