Vareniki with cottage cheese are a traditional dish of Russian cuisine that preserves the warmth of the home hearth. Their history dates back to ancient times when housewives skillfully kneaded dough and prepared hearty meals for their families. The tender elastic dough enriched with boiling water hides a light and slightly sweet cottage cheese filling inside. When boiled, they fill with lightness while maintaining their firm texture. Vareniki are served hot with sour cream or melted butter and sometimes with honey or jam. They are perfect for cozy family breakfasts or heartfelt gatherings. Each varenik is a small masterpiece of culinary art that creates an atmosphere of comfort and tradition.
