Baked cheese sticks are a refined European snack with a rich flavor of melted butter, tangy parmesan, and crunchy breadcrumbs. Their roots trace back to classic cuisine where simple ingredients transform into gastronomic masterpieces. Baked to a golden hue, they acquire a tender yet crispy texture that pairs perfectly with light sauces or flavorful dips. These sticks can be served as a standalone snack with wine, an accompaniment to warm soups, or simply as a tasty nibble. The simplicity of preparation makes them an excellent choice for cozy home evenings and friendly gatherings.

1
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grate the cheese — you can use a not too fine grater. Melt the butter in a saucepan, let it cool slightly, add flour and parmesan: mix thoroughly. Add salt if needed.
- Parmesan cheese: 100 g
- Butter: 100 g
- Wheat flour: 80 g
- Parmesan cheese: 100 g
- Salt: to taste
2
Pour breadcrumbs into a shallow dish. Using a spoon, scoop the cheese mixture and shape it into sticks about the length and thickness of a finger. Roll the sticks in the breadcrumbs and place them on baking paper.
- Breadcrumbs: 50 g
3
Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden brown. Be careful — they break easily! Transfer the sticks to a rack and let them cool completely before serving.
