Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Break or cut the stale bread into small pieces.
- Rye bread: 300 g

Pour with beer.
- Dark beer: 330 ml

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

Mash the soaked bread with a fork and transfer it to a saucepan.
- Rye bread: 300 g

Add water, sugar, juice of half an orange, salt, and cinnamon.
- Water: 75 ml
- Sugar: 20 g
- Oranges: 1 piece
- Salt: pinch
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon

Heat on medium for 5-7 minutes, stirring, until the porridge thickens.
