Tuna appetizer with mayonnaise is a simple yet incredibly tasty dish from European cuisine. Its elegance lies in the harmonious combination of tender canned tuna, creamy melted cheese, and the softness of boiled eggs. Sour cream and mayonnaise add an extra creamy texture, while spices enrich its aroma. It is perfect for a light snack or festive buffet, especially when paired with crispy toasts. Fresh cucumber can be added for a refreshing touch. Due to its simplicity in preparation, this dish can be easily replicated even by those not accustomed to complex recipes. Such appetizers were popular in Europe as quick and elegant options that combine ingredient accessibility with high gastronomic value.

1
First, you need to boil the eggs.
- Chicken egg: 4 pieces
2
While the eggs are boiling, let's open the tuna and transfer it to the salad bowl along with the juice, mashing the tuna with a fork.
- Canned tuna in its own juice: 1 jar
3
Next in line are processed cheeses (in small blocks, my favorite is Shostka for salads, but it's a matter of taste). They need to be grated on a coarse grater for beets.
- Processed cheese: 2 pieces
4
Boiled eggs should also be grated on a coarse grater.
- Chicken egg: 4 pieces
5
We add sour cream and mayonnaise to taste. Spices are optional (in my opinion, only freshly ground pepper, Svan salt, or nutmeg are quite suitable).
- Sour cream: to taste
- Mayonnaise: to taste

It should be served with toast made from your favorite bread. You can also add fresh cucumber on the sandwich. Enjoy your meal!
