Green bean with walnuts and onions is a dish embodying the spirit of Greek cuisine, known for its simplicity and rich flavors. It combines the tender texture of beans, a spicy hint of garlic, and the sweet aroma of fried onions that pairs perfectly with crunchy pieces of walnuts. Historically, such dishes may have emerged in Mediterranean regions where beans and nuts were accessible and nutritious ingredients. This light yet nutritious dish can serve as a side to meat or fish or become a standalone vegetarian treat. Beans are rich in fiber and vitamins, while the healthy fats from walnuts make this dish not only tasty but also beneficial for health. It can be served warm or slightly chilled to enjoy its rich flavor.
