Czech-style fried cheese in breadcrumbs is one of the most popular and simple dishes of Czech cuisine, captivating with its crispy crust and tender, stretchy cheese inside. This recipe traces back to the tradition of European cuisine where breading adds an appetizing texture to the dish. Soft cheese varieties like Edam or Gouda are most often used to achieve the perfect combination of a light golden crust and a melted, creamy center. It is typically served with cranberry sauce, French fries or fresh vegetables, making the dish not only tasty but also versatile – suitable for a cozy family dinner or as an appetizer in a restaurant. This cheesy delicacy is especially loved in Czechia and beyond for its simplicity and exquisite flavor.
