Potato draniki with turnip is a soulful dish of Belarusian cuisine, embodying simplicity and comfort. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they have a light sweetness from the turnip that harmonizes with the soft potato flavor. Such draniki were made in villages where turnip was an accessible and nutritious product. They are great as a standalone dish, especially with a spoonful of sour cream or garlic sauce, and can also serve as an excellent side for meat dishes.
