Green salsa made from tomatillo and avocado is the essence of Mexican cuisine, filled with freshness and vibrant flavors. Its history traces back to Aztec traditions that used tomatillo in their dishes long before modern cuisine emerged. The salsa has a rich sweet-and-sour flavor of tomatillo that harmonizes with the creamy texture of avocado, the spiciness of garlic and jalapeño, and the freshness of cilantro. It is a versatile sauce that perfectly complements tacos, burritos, grilled meats, and even just corn chips. It not only enhances the dish's flavor but also adds authenticity, enlivening a gastronomic journey to the heart of Mexico.
