Crispy leek is an elegant and simple dish of French cuisine where minimalism meets deep flavor. Its history roots in the traditions of French gastronomy, where leeks are valued for their tenderness and light sweetness. Thinly sliced leeks sautéed in aromatic peanut oil acquire a crispy texture and rich nutty flavor. They perfectly complement meat dishes like steak, adding a crunchy freshness. This side dish embodies the French principle of 'simplicity and sophistication,' turning even the most modest ingredients into a true culinary masterpiece.

1
Slice the leek — the white and pale green parts, without the dark green ones — into matchstick-sized strips.
