Fried green vegetables with halloumi and mushrooms is a vibrant dish of European cuisine that combines the freshness of vegetables with the rich flavor of fried halloumi cheese. Halloumi, originating from Cyprus, is known for its ability to retain shape when fried, creating an appetizing golden crust. Vegetables like zucchini, green pepper, and peas add a crunchy texture and fresh aroma to the dish, while mushrooms contribute depth of flavor. A key element is the sauce made from soy sauce, apple juice, and lime that brings the ingredients together and adds a light sweet-sour note. This dish is perfect as a light standalone meal or paired with rice for a harmonious and nutritious treat.
