Creamy mashed potatoes and parsnips is a delicate and velvety dish of Russian cuisine, where classic potatoes are complemented by sweet parsnips. This combination gives the mash a unique creamy flavor with light nutty notes. Historically, parsnip was used in Russian cuisine alongside potatoes but was forgotten over time. This recipe brings back its culinary heritage, merging traditions with modern gastronomic preferences. The mash pairs wonderfully with meat and fish dishes, while the addition of nutmeg and parsley adds aromatic sophistication. It is a versatile side dish that will adorn any festive table, warming the soul and evoking memories of family dinners.
