Guacamole with basil and shallots

Clean and dice the avocado into small cubes. Place in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice. Mash the avocado well with a fork or masher. Mix with finely chopped basil and shallots. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.
