Measure all the spices into a bowl and place them near the stove.
- Chili pepper flakes: 0.5 teaspoon
- Ground cumin (zira): 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric: 0.5 teaspoon
- Freshly ground black pepper: 0.5 teaspoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon

Heat a pan with vegetable oil. You can drop one corn kernel and cover it; when it pops, remove it and add all the kernels, then cover with a lid.
- Vegetable oil: 0.3 glass
- Corn kernels: 0.5 glass

When the popcorn starts popping, hold your breath and add spices, then cover again. Do this quickly and carefully as the spice fumes can burn your airways. Shake the pan until the popping stops.
