Shakrutor (checker cookies)

The simplest Swedish cookie, although when you study the recipe, you will understand that you have probably tried this more than once here. In fact, the idea of mixing dough of two colors is not new, but, perhaps, no one has managed to do it more simply than the Swedes .

Cut the cold butter into cubes and place it in a large bowl. Add sugar and flour and mix with your hands. Add the yolk and quickly knead into a smooth dough.
- Butter: 125 g
- Sugar: 25 g
- Wheat flour: 180 g
- Egg yolk: 1 piece

Divide the dough into two parts and mix cocoa into one of them. Combine the light and dark dough into one log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Cocoa powder: 2 tablespoons

Slice the sausage into 1 cm thick rounds, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake in an oven preheated to 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Cool the finished cookies on a rack.
