Kozinaki

30 minutes
Kozinaki, dear friends! We made it from walnuts, but you can also make it from seeds, almonds, peanuts - whatever you want.

1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.

2
Pour honey into the pot.
- Honey: 230 g

3
Add powdered sugar and bring to a boil.
- Powdered sugar: 70 g

4
Remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes, then bring to a boil again, let sit for another half hour, and repeat once more.

5
While the honey is being prepared, chop the nuts coarsely.
- Walnuts: 300 g

6
Bring the honey to a boil for the fourth time and add the nuts.
- Walnuts: 300 g

7
It's important to stir them continuously, otherwise they may stick to the bottom.

8
Place the nut-honey mixture on a wooden board and shape it into a cake about 1.5 centimeters thick. The caramel is very hot, so you need to wet your hands with icy water to avoid burning yourself.

9
Let the mass set slightly. Then cut it into portioned pieces.

10
Serve when the kozinaqs are completely cooled.
