Italian lemon granita is a refreshing dessert from sunny Sicily. Its history dates back to ancient times when locals stored snow from Mount Etna and mixed it with fruit juices. Granita has a rich lemon flavor with subtle notes of freshness and light sweetness. Perfect for hot days, it provides a feeling of coolness and vitality. Preparation requires patience: repeated stirring during freezing gives it a delicate texture. This dessert can be served as a standalone treat or paired with fruits and mint. Granita is not just a frozen delicacy but a true art of Italian gastronomy that awakens the taste buds and creates the atmosphere of a Mediterranean summer evening.
