The recipe is very simple and quick!

1
Dough: slightly heat the butter to soften it (or just leave it out of the fridge for an hour). Add 1 cup of flour (about 250 g) and 1/2 cup of sugar (100-120 g) to the butter, then separate the egg whites (into a separate bowl) and yolks; add the yolks to the dough and mix everything thoroughly.
- Butter: 200 g
- Wheat flour: 250 g
- Sugar: 250 g
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Spread the dough on a baking sheet or any baking dish, flattening it with your hands to an even layer (no need to grease the baking sheet since the dough contains oil), and leave slightly higher 'edges' of dough around the sides to prevent the jam from spilling out. The pie is sweet, so I prefer to use sour jam or berries, but any will do — according to your taste; I usually take cranberry or plum. Spread the jam on the dough in a layer of about 0.5-1 cm. Place it in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Jam: 5 tablespoon

While the pie is baking, take the reserved egg whites, add the remaining sugar, and whip until you get a milk-white meringue (well-beaten meringue looks like foam, with no sugar crystals visible). After 30 minutes, take the pie out, cover it with an even layer of meringue, and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
- Sugar: 250 g
