Apple Cups

Apple cups are a refined dessert of European cuisine filled with natural sweetness and spicy notes. The dish's roots trace back to traditional baked fruit recipes that have long been used in cooking to create light and aromatic sweets. The insides of the apples turn into a delicate filling of dried dates, prunes, sugar, and spices, creating a harmony of flavors: sweetness, a slight tartness, and a warm spicy aroma. Baked with orange juice, they gain juiciness and softness, while serving with yogurt adds freshness and contrast. These apple cups make a wonderful treat for both a cozy family dinner and a festive table.
