Shrimp Cocktail

A cult snack of two English-speaking countries, although it is still unclear where it was first invented. Ready shrimp are served in a glass with a piquant sauce, which is a mixture of ketchup and horseradish.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Remove the head and digestive tract of the shrimp.

Drop them into boiling salted water, and after the water boils again, cook for another minute. Then transfer them to ice water to stop the cooking.
- Shrimps: 20 pieces

Place the cooled shrimp on paper towels and peel them from their shells. There's no need to clean the shrimp raw, as cooking them in their shells helps retain their shape and juice.

Mix ketchup and soy sauce.
- Ketchup: 150 g
- Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon

Add horseradish.
- Grated horseradish: 1 tablespoon

Add lemon juice.
- Lemon: 1 piece

Add black pepper and Tabasco to taste.
- Ground black pepper: to taste
- TABASCO®: to taste

Mix all the sauce ingredients in a sauce dish. Place the shrimp and a few lemon wedges nearby.
