Lazy curd pastries with dried apricots are a delicate and airy treat of Russian cuisine that perfectly combines the softness of cottage cheese and the sweetness of dried apricots. This easy-to-make dessert emerged as a simplified version of traditional pastries, where the dough is mixed with the filling instead of being layered separately. The use of yogurt gives the baked goods a slight tang that complements the sweetness of the apricots. Lazy pastries can be served warm or chilled, accompanied by sour cream or jam. They make an excellent breakfast or cozy evening dessert, filling the home with warmth and aromas of homemade baking.
