The 'Charodeyka' cake is a true masterpiece of Russian cuisine, combining a delicate sponge cake, airy vanilla cream, and rich chocolate glaze. Its name hints at the magic of flavor, enveloped in aromas of vanilla and cocoa. This dessert emerged from a love for light and fluffy sponges that became popular in home baking. The cream made from milk and vanilla gives the cake softness and richness, while the chocolate glaze completes the picture with an exquisite appearance. The cake is perfect for festive gatherings, cozy evenings, and simply enjoying a sweet moment. After several hours of cooling, it becomes especially harmonious as the flavors intertwine in a unified dance of tenderness and richness.

1
To make the dough, we need to beat the eggs with vanilla and a cup of sugar, then add flour, baking powder, and beat all the ingredients again. This is a foolproof sponge cake recipe that turns out fluffy and tender in all cases.
- Chicken egg: 6 pieces
- Vanillin: to taste
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
- Wheat flour: 2.5 tablespoons
2
To prevent the dough from sticking, grease the baking pan with butter or margarine.
3
Pour the dough into the mold and place it in a hot oven. Bake at moderate heat for about an hour. The temperature in the oven should be approximately 180 degrees.
4
Next, we prepare the cream. For this, we beat half a cup of sugar with an egg, add vanilla, milk, and flour. We mix all the ingredients thoroughly and place them on low heat. We cook the cream, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
- Chicken egg: 6 pieces
- Vanillin: to taste
- Milk: 1 glass
- Wheat flour: 2.5 tablespoons
5
Once the cream thickens, remove it from heat, add 50 g of butter, and whip it again. Let the finished cream cool.
- Butter: 100 g
6
Then we prepare the glaze. Take a small pot and put chopped butter (50 g) in it. Place the pot on low heat and melt the butter. Next, add cocoa, sugar, sour cream, and vanillin. Mix everything and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. The glaze should be stirred constantly to prevent burning, but it should not be brought to a boil.
- Butter: 100 g
- Cocoa: 3 tablespoons
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
- Sour cream: 4 tablespoons
- Vanillin: to taste
7
Cut the ready cake in half lengthwise. Spread all the cream on one half and smooth it with a knife. Place the second half on top and generously pour chocolate glaze over everything.
8
Place the prepared cake in the cold for 3-4 hours to soak. Enjoy your meal!
