Quick roll for tea
4 servings
20 minutes
A quick tea roll is a delicate treat that pairs perfectly with an aromatic drink. It takes just a few minutes to prepare, and the result delights with its softness and sweetness. This recipe has roots in European cuisine, where simple and quick desserts have always been popular. The airy sponge cake with a subtle vanilla aroma and light sweetness is perfectly complemented by warm jam that reveals its fruity flavor. Strawberry jam is especially good, adding a slight tartness and juiciness to the roll. Sprinkled with powdered sugar, the roll becomes even more appetizing. It's a great option for spontaneous tea parties or when you want to treat yourself to something sweet without much hassle. Enjoy your meal!

1
First, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder, then add 2 eggs and beat everything thoroughly into a uniform mass.
- Wheat flour: 55 g
- Sugar: 55 g
- Salt: pinch
- Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
2
Prepare a baking tray, place parchment paper on it and grease with oil. Evenly spread the dough on it and put it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
3
Bake for just 6 minutes until the top of the cake turns golden brown.
4
While baking the cake layer, we place a metal pot on the fire, pour in the jam, and gently heat it. The jam can be any kind, but strawberry is especially suitable.
5
Now, we take the jam off the heat and remove the cake from the oven. We peel off the paper, spread one side with warm jam, roll it up, and generously sprinkle with powdered sugar.
