Homemade oatmeal candies with nuts are a true taste of childhood and cozy evenings. Inspired by European culinary traditions, they embody the harmony of sweetness and richness. Nuts, lightly roasted to reveal their aroma, add depth to the treat. Oatmeal, gently simmered in milk with butter, creates a tender texture, while dates and raisins contribute natural sweetness and a subtle fruity note. The coconut flakes that coat the finished candies give them an exotic lightness. These candies are not only a delicacy but also a healthy snack rich in vitamins and energy.

1
Lightly roast the nuts and put them in a blender.
- Walnuts: 100 g
2
Melt butter in a pan, add the flakes and 'fry' them until they absorb the butter evenly. Add milk and 'simmer' while stirring until the milk is absorbed by the flakes. Add the mixture to a blender with nuts.
- Butter: 70 g
- Oat flakes #1: 200 g
- Milk: 70 ml
3
Wash and soak the raisins and dates in boiling water for 15-20 minutes. Drain the water, remove the pits from the dates, and add them along with the raisins to the blender. (If the candies are NOT for kids, you can add 1 teaspoon of cognac during the final blending step.) Add sugar to the blender and blend until a homogeneous mass forms.
- Raisin: 150 g
- Dates: 10 pieces
- Vanilla sugar: 10 g
4
Roll small balls with wet hands and coat them in coconut flakes.
- Coconut flakes: 70 g
5
Place the prepared dish in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.
