Cinnamon rolls are a symbol of comfort and warmth in American cuisine. Their history begins with traditional European sweet yeast pastries that migrated to the USA and gained popularity. The rolls have a tender, airy texture and a rich cinnamon aroma that evokes memories of family breakfasts and cozy evenings. The sweet glaze covering them adds an exquisite creamy note, creating a perfect balance of flavors. They pair perfectly with a cup of hot coffee or tea and can make any morning special. These rolls are not only a delicious treat but also a wonderful way to bring some warmth and joy into everyday life.

1
We mix warm milk and yeast.
- Milk: 200 ml
- Dry yeast: 14 g
2
Whisk the eggs until fluffy foam.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
3
Add eggs to the milk and yeast, then add 0.5 cup of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and 3 tablespoons of softened butter (can be softened in the microwave), ensuring it is soft but not liquid.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Milk: 200 ml
- Dry yeast: 14 g
- Sugar: 1.5 glass
- Vanilla sugar: 60 g
- Butter: 200 g
4
In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Wheat flour: 5 glass
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
5
Add the flour mixture to the milk and gently knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands; it should be soft in consistency. If there's not enough flour, you can add a little more, but don't overdo it, or the dough will be tough when baked.
- Wheat flour: 5 glass
6
Cover the dough with a towel and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour.
7
Then we sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough into a rather thin layer, about 5 mm thick. It's important that it is much longer than it is wide. This way, the buns will turn out larger.
8
Grease the dough with softened butter (about 3 tablespoons).
- Butter: 200 g
9
Evenly sprinkle with a mixture of 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon.
- Sugar: 1.5 glass
- Ground cinnamon: 4 tablespoons
10
Roll tightly into a roll, don't be afraid to do it tightly, the pastries will be tender and won't fall apart.
11
We cut the roll with a sharp knife, 2-3 cm thick.
12
Line the pan with parchment paper and arrange the pastries. Place in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius and bake for about 35-40 minutes.
13
While the buns are baking, we prepare the glaze. We mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, the remaining softened butter, and a packet of vanilla sugar. Carefully mix until smooth.
- Cottage cheese: 140 g
- Powdered sugar: 1 glass
- Butter: 200 g
- Vanilla sugar: 60 g
14
As soon as our pastries are ready, we take them out of the oven and generously coat them with glaze while hot.
15
They can be given some time to cool down.
