Grated pie with jam is a cozy childhood memory filled with the aroma of fresh baking. This traditional dessert from Russian cuisine is made from tender crumbly dough that perfectly complements the fruity tartness of the jam. The history of the pie goes back to a time when simple and accessible ingredients allowed housewives to create delicious and heartfelt treats. An important feature is its texture: the grated top layer turns into a crispy golden crust when baked. Lingonberry, cranberry, or raspberry jam is often used to balance sweetness with pleasant tartness. This pie can be served with tea in a family circle or offered to guests, enjoying its delicate taste and ease of preparation.

1
Mix flour with baking soda, grate margarine into it, and rub well with your hands to make crumbs.
- Wheat flour: 2.5 glasss
- Soda: 0.5 teaspoon
- Margarine: 200 g
2
Beat the egg with sugar, add lemon juice and mayonnaise, and mix.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sugar: 0.5 glass
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise: 2 tablespoons
3
Add the egg mixture to the crumbs and knead an elastic dough.
- Wheat flour: 2.5 glasss
- Margarine: 200 g
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sugar: 0.5 glass
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise: 2 tablespoons
4
Divide it into 2 almost equal pieces, wrap the smaller one in film and place it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
5
Roll out a larger piece thinly to 0.3-0.4 cm on a baking sheet (I bake on paper anyway).
6
Spread with jam or preserves to your taste (I usually use sour ones — lingonberry or cranberry, raspberry).
- Berry jam: 0.5 glass
7
Take the second piece out of the freezer and grate it on a coarse grater, evenly distributing it over the entire surface.
- Margarine: 200 g
8
Send to a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes (adjust according to your oven - until golden brown).
9
We take out and cut randomly.
