Cherry casserole is a delicate and aromatic dessert rooted in Russian culinary traditions. Its base is soft low-fat cottage cheese that becomes airy and light when baked. Cherry, with its pleasant tartness, adds contrast to the flavor, making the casserole both sweet and refreshing. Historically, such dishes were prepared in villages where cottage cheese was an accessible and nutritious product. The casserole is perfect for a cozy family tea time or a light dessert after a hearty dinner. The aroma of vanilla adds special tenderness while sugar balances the taste. Baked at a low temperature, it acquires a soft texture and golden hue. This dessert is simple to prepare but can surprise with its depth of flavor and natural ingredients.

1
We wash the cherries and remove the stems and pits.
- Cherry: 550 g
2
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
3
In a kitchen mixer or blender, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanillin until smooth. Now, coat each cherry in flour (this helps the cherry keep its shape better).

- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Sugar: 80 g

We take molds. I used molds with a diameter of 13 cm and a height of 5 cm. We fill each one just under halfway (using only half of the cottage cheese). Then, we add a layer of cherries. And on top, we pour the remaining cottage cheese.
