Yogurt cake (Gâteau au yaourt) is one of the simplest and most beloved French desserts, made in just a few steps. In its traditional version, it often includes fruits or chocolate chips, adding a special charm. The cake has a tender, slightly moist texture thanks to the yogurt, and its light vanilla aroma makes it a perfect complement to a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. This dessert is easy to prepare but surprises with its rich flavor that combines sweetness and a slight tanginess. In France, it is often made as homemade baking using regular measuring cups, making the process intuitive. It is great for everyday treats as well as festive moments, especially when served with a dollop of whipped cream or fresh berries.
