Berry pie with strawberries is a classic European treat that embodies the harmony of tender dough, sweet jam, and fresh berries. Its history dates back to when fruit pies became a favorite delicacy in homes across France and England. The crispy shortcrust pastry enriched with fragrant lemon zest creates the perfect base for juicy strawberries baked with jam. The light tartness of the berries balances the sweetness of powdered sugar and caramelized almonds, adding a textural twist. This pie is perfect as a dessert for tea, a pleasant family evening, or a special occasion. It delights not only with its taste but also brings a sense of warmth and coziness.
