Chocolate muffins with chocolate and nuts

Chocolate muffins with chocolate and nuts are a gourmet treat that combines the rich flavor of cocoa, the tenderness of butter, and the crunchy texture of nuts. While this dessert appears in various cuisines around the world, its Thai variation takes a unique approach to chocolate — it is used in three forms: in the batter, as a melted topping, and as chocolate shavings. This dessert perfectly complements cozy family evenings, festive celebrations, and simply moments of sweet indulgence. The muffins turn out airy with gooey chocolate chunks inside, while the nuts add a refined texture. They are easy to make, and the aroma filling the kitchen during baking can gather the whole family in anticipation of magical flavors. Muffins can be served with a cup of aromatic coffee or hot cocoa to enhance their rich chocolate notes.

1
Mix the butter with sugar (do not melt the butter, it will gradually soften a bit on its own).
- Butter: 100 g
- Sugar: 100 g
2
Add eggs, mix (there will be lumps — that's not a problem).
- Chicken egg: 3 pieces
3
Add baking powder and cocoa to the flour and mix everything together.
- Wheat flour: 200 g
- Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
- Cocoa: 4 teaspoons
4
Chop one chocolate bar, cut each piece into 4 parts, and add to the resulting dough.
- Chocolate: to taste
5
If anyone wants, now is the time to add nuts (hazelnuts), to taste.
6
Pour into molds (I stuffed parchment paper cut into squares into the molds so that the muffins are easy to remove and look nice).
7
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.
8
Melt the second chocolate in a water bath and decorate on top.
- Chocolate: to taste
9
Grate the third chocolate (not all, some will be left) and sprinkle it on the muffins.
- Chocolate: to taste
