Churros (Spanish cookies)

Churros are a cult treat of Spanish cuisine, known for their crispy exterior and tender airy interior. This dessert, rooted in the Middle Ages, embodies simplicity and flavor perfection. It is said to have been invented by Spanish shepherds who replaced bread with fried dough. Today, churros are an integral part of street food in Spain, especially in the morning when served with thick hot chocolate. They have a slight saltiness complemented by the sweetness of powdered sugar, and their porous structure perfectly absorbs sauces. It's an ideal choice for those who appreciate the combination of crunchiness and softness in one bite.
