Goat Cheese and Garlic Tart

6 servings

60 minutes

Tart with goat cheese and garlic is an exquisite dish of British cuisine, combining the delicate texture of puff pastry with the rich flavor of goat cheese and caramelized garlic. The roots of this dish trace back to the European tradition of making savory tarts using seasonal ingredients and aromatic spices. Roasted garlic adds a sweet, deep flavor to the tart, while goat cheese contributes a creamy note with a hint of tanginess. This tart is perfect for a cozy dinner or festive gathering. Served warm, it pairs wonderfully with green salads and white wine, revealing all the nuances of its flavors. Bon appétit!

Cooking steps
  • 1

We place the dough in a form greased with olive oil.

    Required ingredients:
    1. Olive oil1 tablespoon
  • 2

We cut a circle from paper equal to the diameter of our mold and place it on the dough.

  • 3

Fill with beans and put in the fridge for 20 minutes.

    Required ingredients:
    1. Garlic5 head
  • 4

Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the dough with beans for 20 minutes.

  • 5

Then remove the paper and beans, poke the dough with a fork to ensure it doesn't rise, and back in the oven for 5 minutes — we need to take out the already baked tart base.

  • 6

We are starting the longest process - peeling garlic.

  • 7

Fill with water, bring to a boil, and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Remove the garlic and let it dry a bit. Pour out the water from the pot, add a little olive oil, and sauté the garlic for 2 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and water, bring to a boil, and simmer on low heat for another 10-15 minutes. Toss in rosemary, thyme, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and sugar. Now wait for the liquid in the pot to evaporate (if it evaporates before the garlic is done, you can add a little water).

Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35-45 minutes — check the color, it should be golden.
