Austrian Pie

Austrian pie is the embodiment of Austria's rural cuisine, where the simplicity of ingredients combines with rich flavor. Traditionally made by peasants using available products: potatoes, meat, and dough. The combination of tender potatoes, spicy smoked bacon, and creamy sour cream gives the dish a rich taste and soft texture. The crispy puff pastry envelops the juicy filling, creating a contrast between crunchiness and tenderness. The pie is perfect for a cozy family dinner or for celebrations. It is especially delicious served with herbs and a glass of white wine that highlights its rich aroma.

1
First, you need to slice the potatoes. Take the largest ones without hesitation. Two or three potatoes are just what you need. The potatoes should be cut into thin rounds so they cook faster.
- Potato: 1 kg
2
We add a meat set to the potatoes. Good options are brisket, ham, and smoked sausage. Everything should be spicy, flavorful, and fatty. You can add freshly ground pepper. Don't forget to salt.
- Smoked brisket: 100 g
3
Again, add potatoes and meat products. Finally, spread thick sour cream on top.
- Potato: 1 kg
- Smoked brisket: 100 g
- Sour cream: 1 jar
4
The whole company needs to be covered with dough. Make several holes so the pie doesn't burst from its own importance.
- Puff pastry: 500 g
5
The oven is preheated to 160 degrees. Place the pie inside for 30-40 minutes. If it starts to burn, reduce the temperature by twenty degrees.
6
Let the pie rest for at least 15 minutes after taking it out of the oven.
