Steamed sponge cake is a delicate treat that preserves the best traditions of European baking. Its softness and lightness are achieved through careful steaming, making the flavor particularly refined. Vanilla essence fills the dessert with a sweet aroma, while raisins add a pleasant fruity note. This cake is perfect for morning tea or a cozy family dinner. The absence of aggressive baking keeps it moist and juicy even after several hours. Its simplicity makes it accessible even for beginner cooks, and its versatility allows for experimentation with additions like nuts, dried fruits, or aromatic spices. This is a dessert that delights in taste and brings the warmth of home comfort.
