Peanut Butter Black Sesame Cookies

Peanut butter and black sesame cookies are a harmony of contrasts: tenderness and crunch, sweetness and slight bitterness. Originating from American cuisine, this dessert is based on the rich nutty flavor of peanut butter, complemented by the aromatic depth of black sesame. During preparation, small dough balls are coated in sesame seeds, which release their unique aroma when baked. The finished cookies have a delicate cracked crust and softness inside. They are enjoyed as a standalone dessert, paired with a cup of coffee or tea. Due to the simplicity of ingredients and ease of preparation, this treat is perfect for cozy home evenings or festive gatherings.

1
Beat peanut butter and sugar with a mixer on medium speed (about 2-3 minutes). Add the egg and baking soda, and beat again until smooth.
- Peanut butter: 1 glass
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Soda: 1 teaspoon
2
Roll small balls from the prepared mass (1 teaspoon per cookie). Coat the balls in black sesame seeds. You should get about 40 pieces in total.
- Black sesame seeds: 5 tablespoon
3
Place the balls on a baking sheet (2 cm apart) and send to an oven preheated to 190 degrees. Keep in the upper third of the oven for the first 5 minutes, then move the baking sheet to the lower third. Bake for about 10 minutes until the cookies are covered with shallow cracks and start to puff.
- Black sesame seeds: 5 tablespoon

After the oven, leave the finished cookies on the tray for 2 minutes, then transfer to a plate and let cool completely (approximately 45 minutes).
