Pancakes made with clarified butter are a delicate and aromatic treat of Russian cuisine, rooted in the traditions of family feasts. The butter gives the batter a rich flavor and delicate texture, while the addition of boiling water makes the pancakes especially airy and thin. These golden circles are served with jam, honey, or sour cream, creating a harmony of sweetness and tenderness. The dish's history dates back to ancient Slavic rituals where pancakes symbolized the sun and the awakening of spring. They were prepared during Maslenitsa to celebrate the transition from winter to warm summer. Today, pancakes remain a universal delicacy – they make a wonderful breakfast, an addition to tea time, or a festive treat that brings families together at one table.
