Jam-filled croissants are a cozy treat familiar from childhood. This recipe comes from Russian cuisine, where homemade baked goods always hold a special place. The delicate dough made with yeast and sour cream makes the croissants soft, while butter adds tenderness. The filling of aromatic fruit jam fills each bite with a sweet depth of flavor, and the caramelized sugar on the surface adds a light crispy crust. These croissants are perfect with hot tea on a cool evening or as a sweet treat for the whole family. The simplicity of preparation and accessible ingredients make them a beloved home recipe that can be adapted by experimenting with fillings. Legends say that croissants were invented as a symbol of luck since their shape resembles a crescent moon—a sign of prosperity and happiness.
