Real pies are the embodiment of Russian home cooking, a symbol of coziness and warm family evenings. Their history dates back to ancient times when pies were baked for special occasions and holidays. The soft and airy dough enriched with milk, sour cream, and margarine acquires a delicate creamy taste. Yeast gives it lightness while sugar adds pleasant sweetness. These pastries can be filled with any filling: meat, berry, cabbage — each variation is unique in its own way. Golden brown and fragrant, they pair perfectly with hot tea or milk. They can be served as a main dish or as a treat for the festive table, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.
