Baharat is a fragrant spice blend from the Middle East that has gained popularity in European cuisine over time. Its rich, warm flavor with a hint of spiciness and sweet aftertaste makes dishes deeper and more complex. Key ingredients like black and allspice pepper, paprika, nutmeg, and cinnamon create a harmony of flavors that enriches meat, vegetables, and sauces. Traditionally, spices are ground by hand to fully release their aroma. Baharat is often used for marinades, frying, and stewing, adding Eastern warmth and spicy sophistication to food.
