Thursday (black) salt is a traditional Russian product with deep historical roots. It is prepared on Clean Thursday before Easter when salt is baked with kvass residue, giving it a special taste and aroma. This ancient ritual symbolizes purification and protection, and the salt itself is used as a sacred ingredient in festive dishes. Its flavor is rich, slightly smoky, and intense, perfectly complementing fresh vegetables and Easter eggs. Due to its special preparation technology, it holds not only culinary value but also symbolic significance, preserving the spirit of Russian traditions.
