Herring and orange salad is an amazing combination of traditional Russian flavors and fresh citrus notes. The origins of such dishes trace back to the northern regions where herring has always been an important ingredient. In this salad, tender herring fillet combines with crunchy cabbage and sweet carrots, creating an interesting contrast of textures. Fresh orange segments add a special zest, while the dressing made from its juice and oil makes the dish light and refreshing. This salad is perfect for a festive table or as an appetizer, adding vibrant colors and unusual flavor accents. It pairs wonderfully with rye bread and cold drinks, offering an original gastronomic experience.
