Green salad with endive is the essence of freshness and lightness in French cuisine. Its roots trace back to the traditions of Provence, where natural ingredients and simplicity in preparation are highly valued. This salad combines tender chard, crispy lettuce, tangy endive, and juicy corn, creating a harmony of flavor and texture. Chicory adds a slight bitterness, while the dressing of vinegar and olive oil enhances the natural notes of the greens. Dill and green onions enrich the aroma. It is perfect as a refreshing side dish to main courses or as a light standalone treat. It doesn't overload the stomach and provides a feeling of freshness, making it ideal for a summer dinner or an elegant meal in the spirit of French gastronomic art.
