Penne with a delicate broccoli sauce is a harmony of Italian tradition and refined taste. Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, this recipe offers an incredible blend of creaminess and lightness. Broccoli adds a fresh vegetal note to the sauce, while feta cheese and basil fill it with rich aroma and spicy hints. A touch of nutmeg highlights the depth of flavor, creating a sophisticated composition. This sauce not only pairs perfectly with penne but also transforms an everyday dish into a true gastronomic masterpiece.

1
Dry the cheese with a paper towel to remove the whey. Mash it in a deep plate. Add finely chopped basil and a teaspoon of olive oil. Set aside to let the flavors blend.
- Feta cheese: 300 g
- Basil: 1 bunch
2
Chop the onion coarsely and sauté in a deep skillet until it becomes translucent. Add salt and a teaspoon of sugar (to enhance caramelization).
- Onion: 1 piece
- Salt: to taste
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
3
Add broccoli florets to the onion, cover with a lid, and simmer until softened.
- Broccoli cabbage: 400 g
4
Remove a few broccoli florets from the saucepan and set them aside; they will be needed to give the sauce a pleasant texture.
5
Use an immersion blender to puree the contents of the saucepan until smooth.
6
Add sour cream, a pinch of nutmeg, and ground black pepper. Cover with a lid and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Sour cream 20%: 250 g
- Nutmeg: pinch
- Ground black pepper: to taste
7
Chop the broccoli, mix it with the prepared feta cheese, and add to the sauce. Salt, considering the saltiness of the feta. Cover and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Broccoli cabbage: 400 g
- Feta cheese: 300 g
- Salt: to taste
8
Boil penne (in human terms — feathers).
- Penne pasta: 200 g
9
Mix the sauce with the pasta just before serving. Enjoy your meal!
