Veal with cherry is an exquisite dish of Russian cuisine that combines tender meat with the sweet-sour taste of cherries. The history of this recipe traces back to the traditions of Russian merchant feasts, where the combination of meat and fruits was seen as a sign of refined taste. In this dish, veal infused with spices is baked with cherries, acquiring a slight tartness complemented by a sweet hint of cinnamon. Cherry juice and broth create a rich sauce, while roasted potatoes serve as the perfect side dish. It is best served with herbs that refresh the overall composition. This dish is perfect for a festive table or a cozy family dinner, impressing guests with its deep flavor and aristocratic charm.
