Turkey leg in lemon-soy marinade is a vivid example of culinary art from Chinese cuisine, where the balance of sour-sweet and umami notes transforms a simple dish into a true gastronomic masterpiece. Lemon adds freshness and a slight tang to the meat, while soy sauce contributes richness and depth of flavor. Baking in foil helps retain the turkey's juiciness, infusing it with the aromas of spices and marinade. Traditionally, this dish pairs perfectly with rice garnish that absorbs the appetizing meat juices. The turkey leg, with its tender and soft meat, becomes even more aromatic and flavorful after two hours of slow baking. It's an excellent dish for cozy family dinners or festive meals where one wants to enjoy the harmony of flavors and richness of Asian cuisine.

Before cooking the turkey, it needs to be marinated. For this, mix lemon juice with soy sauce, sunflower oil, and black pepper. If you like spicier food, you can increase the amount of spices, for example by adding extra red hot pepper.
- Lemon: 1 piece
- Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil: 4 tablespoons
- Ground black pepper: 1 teaspoon

This recipe uses 2 turkey drumsticks with a total weight of about 1.5–1.8 kg. The bird should be washed, then placed in a container and poured with marinade. The turkey should ideally sit for at least half an hour. During this time, the drumsticks need to be turned occasionally for even marination.
- Turkey drumstick: 2 pieces

We place the marinated meat on foil, and it's better to cut a larger piece to wrap the bird tightly. We pinch the edges to create a shape with sides and pour the marinade into it. After that, we completely close the 'envelope' and put it in the oven.
- Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons
- Lemon: 1 piece
- Vegetable oil: 4 tablespoons
- Ground black pepper: 1 teaspoon

The meat should be baked for 2 hours at a temperature of 200 degrees. Carefully remove the cooked turkey from the foil; the remaining broth can be used to drizzle over the side dish, such as rice.
